  Information about NETAJI SUBHASHCHANDRA BHOSE. 

Name:- Subhashchandra Jankidas Bose. 

Birth:- 23rd January 1897.

   CHILDHOOD



         He was born at Cuttak in Orissa. The name of his mother was Prabhavatidevi. He was the last child of his parents and was loved so much. His mother Jankidas was a lawyer. Subhas always loved independence. He was clever and full of pride. 

EDUCATION

He took admission in a Baptist School . But he left it as he saw that Indians are being hated and prizes are given to the English only. He joined Revenshaw Collegiate School and met Venimadhav, his teacher. In 1913,he passed his matriculation from Kolkata University and stood second. He passed B. A. in first class and also M. A. in psychology. He went to England and passed I. C. A. exam. But without doing job under the British rule, he returned to India in 1921.

Participation in freedom struggle. 

He accepted Chittaranjan Das as his guru in freedom struggle. He was imprisoned for six months due to his boycott on the welcome ceremony of the Prince of England. He was sent to the prisons of Alipur, Beharampur, Kolkata and Madalay. The second World -War started in 1939.Subhashbabu left Kolkata in the disguise of Ziauddin pathan on 17th Jan 1941.He went to Berlin and established 'Azad Hind Sena' at Singapur on 21st Oct 1943.He fought bravely and he took help from Japan. 'Chalo Delhi' was the slogan of 'Azad Hind Sena' . 

Social work
He worked as the principal of National College and as an editor of'Swarajya' newspaper. He was the executive officer and mayor of Kolkata corporation. He was the chairmen of the conference Congress at Tripura in 1939.He founded 'Forward Block' party to fight against the British. 
Marriage
He married Emily Rockel. He wrote a book on 'Indian Struggle'. 

Death

He died on 18th August 1945 while he was going to Japan in a plane crash.
